Hello Scrap Gold, many thanks to Helen for a Quick Professional service!, after a couple of emails and a returned phone call with the price of my scrap gold I was very surprised at the sum of cash I would receive. I had 3 quotes from other rip-off scrap gold traders that advertise on TV and was very disappointed with their offers £189, £215, £370, Scrap gold uk's offer was £706.60p which is more than double the others so I accepted their offer without hesitation! cheque arrived 3 days later very happy, once again many thanks.

I telephoned you several times and you were so patient, fair and gave me unbiased information on how I could check out with other jewellers the value of my items - you, yourself, instilled great confidence in me to trust your Company so I sent off my package following all the instructions given online on your excellent web site. The following day you telephoned me to tell me the value of my items which tallied exactly with my own valuation which I had worked out using the prices that you, honestly, quote online. The very next day I received my cheque. Once again that you for a 1st Class, honest, fair, prompt and courteous service. I will be receommening you to others.
Just wanted to say thank you for such an excellent service. I contemplated long and hard about firstly sending my gold through the post and secondly but perhaps most importanly, who to send it to. I had heard so many stories of people being ripped off and being offered a pittance but I liked the way your website operates giving people the opportunity to calculate roughly what their jewellery could be worth, with other sites it is left to chance. The other big factor for me was the tremendous amount of positive feedback - far too many for it to be made up. So with that in mind I took the chance. I posted on Monday, had an email Tuesday confirming receipt of my jewellery and Thursday I received a cheque for over £200 - roughly what I had calculated given that I don't have the scales for such a precise amount. I'm delighted. I just wish I had known about you when my mother posted hers off to a rival company, I'm quite sure she didn't get anywhere close to what she would have done with you. I originally put my bits of scrap gold jewellery on ebay, (photographed on digital scales). I got two very derisory offers to buy 'off ebay' and after three days, I had lots of watchers, but no bids. At a start price of £49, I realised that with a bit of bad luck and only one bidder, I might only get that sum, less fees! Even when you sell on ebay, it might be a couple of weeks' delay before the money clears into your account. I read the newspapers and was very wary of online scrap gold dealers. I had also had several bad experiences selling jewellery to cynical high street jewellers. I was once told that unhalmarked Victorian gold was 'virtually worhtless', and offered £5 for an early Georgian Cameo. With great concern, I finally found scrapgolduk and decided to take the scrap jewellery off ebay and sent it to them. I received a cheque with a transparent breakdown of their calculation, (which matched mine), this morning, two days later. That says it all really.

Hi I just wanted to thank you so much for the cheque I have received from you for my gold which I sent. I have to say after sending it to postal gold and them offering me £2.19 for it yes £2.19 for the amount I sentyou, I eventually got it back total rip off people. I then took it to a stand at a shopping centre and they offered me £350.00 which I knew it was worth more I then cam across your website and telephoned you and spoke to a lovely man as I wanted to know what would happen if I got an offer I didn't agree to and he advised I would get what was the calculator said. I have to say I did. I sent my gold special delivery on the Saturday and by the Wednesday morning I had a cheque for £514.00 from you. I just wanted to thank you as there are loads of scams out there and obviously I was wary but I will not hesitate in recommending you and would be more than happy to fill out a feedback form for you for your website should you have one. Hello Just thought Id mention I recommended you to a lady at work who had sent a load of jewellery to the company that keeps addvertising on TV. You did end up buying her gold for £650.00 after she eventually managed to get it back from them.They offered her £140.00 and then changed it to £350.00 when they questioned the amount. I had previously sent a package to one of the gold buyers that advertise on the TV, needless to say they were full of promises, none of hich they lived up to. I was sent a cheque for such a small amount I genuinely believed that they must have put the decimal point in the wrong place. When I contacted them i was asked to suggest a price that I would like to be paid, I told them that it was up to them to make an offer, but that it should be considerably higher than suggested. Top marks for the quality of your service and a particular mention to Helen who couldn't have been more helpful when I phoned. I was going to ask about any costs, & she informed me about the 8% refining fee before I had chance to ask, now's that rereshing up-front honesty. It just shows that not all scrap gold companies are the same & this company should not be tarred with the same brush as other less reputable ones.
